Elizabeth Railway Station, Adelaide
Elizabeth railway station is located on the Gawler line. Situated on the border of the northern Adelaide suburbs of Elizabeth and Edinburgh, it is from Adelaide station. History The township of Elizabeth was established in 1955, with Elizabeth South railway station the first to be constructed in the area. Elizabeth station opened on June 27 1960 in anticipation of increased demand from the nearby town centre and shopping district opening later in 1960. Elizabeth is an outer northern suburb of the Adelaide metropolitan area, South Australia, 24 km north of the Adelaide city centre. It is located in the City of Playford. At the 2016 census, Elizabeth had a population of 1,024. Lyell McEwin Hospital
The Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH) is a major tertiary hospital located in Adelaide, South Australia that provides medical, surgical, diagnostic, emergency and support services to a population of more than 300,000 people living primarily in Adelaide's north and north eastern suburbs. It is affiliated with the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. It is named after Sir Lyell McEwin. Philip Highway
Philip Highway is a road in the southern part of the Elizabeth area through the suburbs of Elizabeth and Elizabeth South. It connects from Main North Road adjacent to the Elizabeth City Centre to route A13 John Rice Avenue and Salisbury Highway. It continues past this large roundabout into Elizabeth Vale as a minor road which ends at the Little Para River linear park. Virginia, South Australia
Virginia is a town on the rural outskirts of Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. Port Wakefield Road, the main highway taking traffic to the north of Adelaide, passes through the area and used to pass straight through Virginia. Market gardening is the main activity there. History Virginia was first surveyed and established by Daniel Brady (born 1797, died 1889), a wealthy Irish settler who had arrived in South Australia on the barque, DIADEM, in 1840 with his wife, Rose (née Rudden), and their six children. Salisbury Railway Station, Adelaide
Salisbury railway station is a railway station and bus interchange in the northern Adelaide suburb of Salisbury. It is on the Gawler line, from Adelaide station. Adjoining it is a large park & ride carpark, making it one of the busiest stations on the Adelaide suburban rail system. Davoren Park
Davoren Park is a suburb at the northern extent of the Adelaide metropolitan area, South Australia in the City of Playford. The suburb was formed as part of a merger between Elizabeth Field and the northern part of Elizabeth West on 11 November 1993. It is named after the Davoren family, who were early pioneers of the area.
