Elise Thérèse Koekkoek-Daiwaille (May 5, 1814 – June 2, 1881) was a painter and lithographer from the Netherlands. Barend Cornelis Koekkoek (October 11, 1803 – April 5, 1862) was a Dutch Landscape painting, landscape artist and Litography, lithographer, and the most famous member of the Koekkoek family, Koekkoek family of painters. Biography Early life: 1803–1824 Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was born on 11 October 1803, in Middelburg, Zeeland, Middelburg, Zeeland. He was the first and eldest son of Johannes Hermanus Koekkoekborn in the province of Zeeland, to Dutch parentsand Anna van Koolwijk. Jean Augustin Daiwaille (6 August 1786 – 11 April 1850) was a Dutch people, Dutch Portrait painting, portrait painter and Lithography, lithographer. Life Daiwaille was born in Cologne, Holy Roman Empire and went to Amsterdam, The Netherlands as a young man, where he studied under Adriaan de Lelie. He was director of the Rijksakademie from 1820 to 1826. After that time, he resided at Rotterdam, where he was very successful in painting portraits, and where he died in 1850. There is by him one etching, which is scarce. He was an early exponent of lithography during the 1820s, overseeing the installation of a lithographic press at the new Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts, Koninklijke Academie, and instructing the students on the use of the technique.
