Elisabetta Gnone
Elisabetta Gnone (born 13 April 1965) is an Italian writer. Biography Gnone became a journalist for Topolino Weekly in 1992. This was only the beginning of a career that would take her to Walt Disney Italia, where she collaborated in the series of monthly publications of Bambi, Minnie & Comp. and the Small Series, and created, in 1997, the publication of Winnie the Pooh. As the director responsible for Disney publications, she created a series which would become a worldwide success: W.I.T.C.H. She then published ''The Secret of the Twins'' in 2005. The book was developed into a trilogy focused around the magical world Fairy Oak. In April 2001, she co-created the Italian comic/magazine ''W.I.T.C.H.'' with Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa. Topolino
''Topolino'' (from the Italian name for Mickey Mouse) is an Italian digest-sized comic series featuring Disney comics. The series has had a long running history, first appearing in 1932 as a comics magazine. It is currently published by Panini Comics. Topolino ''giornale'' (1932–1949) In 1932 the editor Mario Nerbini decided to open a new weekly newspaper for kids, containing illustrated tales with Mickey Mouse. The first issue of ''Topolino'' was published on December 31, 1932: it contained Mickey's first Italian story drawn by Giove Toppi. In this story, Mickey Mouse was chased by an elephant. However, Nerbini had not correctly secured the publication rights, so when Emmanuel (Disney's representative in Italy) protested, Nerbini changed the title of the comic book with issue #3 into ''Topo Lino'' (Mouse Lino), replacing Mickey Mouse with ''Topo Lino'', another mouse.
