Elisabetta Keller, also known as Elisabeth Keller, (6 July 1891 – 19 February 1969) was a Swiss artist born in Italy and a founder of the Italian Soroptimist Club. Keller worked in many media, but preferred pastels. Though she created landscapes and still life, she was noted for her portraits, which were often of the upper-class and bourgeoisie of Milan. Elisabetta Vendramini (9 April 1790 – 2 April 1860) was an Italian Roman Catholic professed religious who established the Franciscan Elizabethan Sisters in 1830 in Padua. She relocated there after she broke off her engagement to a man from Ferrara. She trained at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and worked for the London Festival Ballet (now the English National Ballet) and the Ballet National de Marseille. Elisabetta Sanna (full name ''Elisabetta Sanna Porcu'') (23 April 1788 – 17 February 1857) was an Italian Roman Catholic from Codrongianos Province of Sassari who was an active member of both the Secular Franciscan Order and the Union of the Catholic Apostolate. In the latter she was a friend and compatriot of Vincent Pallotti. As a result of smallpox, Sanna was for the most part disabled and further ailments prevented her from returning to her hometown after departing on a pilgrimage; this forced her to take up residence in Rome where she later died. Elisabetta Querini (November 12, 1628 in Venice – January 19, 1709 in Venice) was the Dogaressa of Venice by marriage to the Doge Silvestro Valier (r. 1694-1700). Querini is described as the only Venetian dogaressa of any significance of the 17th century since Morosina Morosini-Grimani. Her consort was said to be known in history mostly through her. Although the Grand Council had, in 1645, abolished the elaborate ceremony for installing a new ''dogaressa'', because of its large expense to the state and to the Doge, Valiero convinced the council to grant an exception. Elisabetta Grimani (died 31 August 1792 in Treviso) was the last Dogaressa of Venice by marriage to the Doge Ludovico Manin ( 1789–1797). Biography Elisabetta Grimani was the daughter of Antonio Grimani. She married Ludovico Manin on 14 September 1748. A contemporary description of her during the election of her spouse to Doge of Venice in 1789 related, "The triumph of the Doge must be somewhat dampened by his wife, who, by some womanish singularity, is not pleased at becoming Dogaressa. Elisabetta Gonzaga (1471–1526) was a noblewoman of the Italian Renaissance, renowned for her cultured and virtuous life. A member of the House of Gonzaga, she was a sister of Francesco II Gonzaga, Marquess of Mantua and by marriage the Duchess of Urbino.
