Elijah Pierick
Elijah Pierick is an American politician serving in the Hawaii House of Representatives for the 39th district encompassing Royal Kunia, Village Park, Honouliuli, and Hoopili. He won the seat in the 2022 election against Democrat opponent Corey Rosenlee. Pierick currently serves on the Tourism, Economic Development, and Consumer Protection & Commerce committees. Early life and education Pierick was raised in Ewa, Hawaii. He attended Pacific Rim Christian University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Bible & Christian Ministry in 2019 and Master of Arts, Christian Studies, and Master of Divinity in 2020. In 2022 Pierick received his Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. Liberty University (LU) is a private Baptist university in Lynchburg, Virginia. It is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (Southern Baptist Convention). Founded in 1971 by Jerry Falwell Sr. and Elmer L. Hawaii House Of Representatives
The Hawaii House of Representatives is the lower house of the Hawaii State Legislature. Pursuant to Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution of Hawaii, amended during the 1978 constitutional convention, the House of Representatives consists of 51 members representing an equal number of districts across the islands. It is led by the Speaker of the House elected from the membership of the House, with majority and minority leaders elected from their party's respective caucuses. The current Speaker of the House is Scott Saiki. Legislators are elected to two-year terms and are not subject to term limits. As in many state legislatures in the United States, the Hawaii House of Representatives is a part-time body and legislators often have active careers outside government.
