Elijah Moore
Elijah Danilo Moore (born March 27, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ole Miss and was drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Early life and high school career Moore grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. As a senior, Moore caught 28 passes for 407 yards and five touchdowns and was named an Under Armour All-American. He was rated a four-star recruit and originally committed to play college football at Georgia over 33 other scholarship offers. Moore changed his commitment to Ole Miss in December of his senior year. College career As a true freshman, Moore caught 36 passes for 398 yards and two touchdowns. Matthew Barham Luke (born October 29, 1976) is an American football coach and former player who, most recently served as the associate head coach and offensive line coach at the University of Georgia. Luke was fired from his previous job as the head coach at the University of Mississippi after amassing a 15–21 record over three seasons. Playing career Luke was born in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was a standout at Gulfport High School, but he was a walk-on at Ole Miss, where scholarships were limited because of NCAA sanctions. He played center there from 1995 to 1998, graduating in 2000. The Egg Bowl (traditionally named the “Battle for the Golden Egg”) is the name given to the Mississippi State–Ole Miss football rivalry. It is an American college football rivalry game played annually between Southeastern Conference members Mississippi State University and Ole Miss (The University of Mississippi). The teams first played each other in 1901. Since 1927 the winning squad has been awarded possession of The Golden Egg trophy.
