Elieser Alexis Hernández (; born May 3, 1995) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was signed by the Houston Astros as an international free agent in 2012, and made his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins in 2018. Career Houston Astros Hernández signed with the Houston Astros as an international free agent on May 31, 2012. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Astros. He spent the 2013 season with the DSL Astros as well, logging a 5–1 record and 1.26 ERA in 13 appearances. In 2014, he split the season between the GCL Astros and the rookie ball Greeneville Astros, accumulating a 5–1 record and 2.17 ERA in 12 games. Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins are an American professional baseball team based in Miami. The Marlins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East division. The club's home ballpark is LoanDepot Park. The franchise began play as an expansion team in the 1993 season as the Florida Marlins. The Marlins originally played home games at Joe Robbie Stadium, which they shared with the National Football League (NFL)'s Miami Dolphins. Lancaster JetHawks
The Lancaster JetHawks were a baseball team located in Lancaster, California. They were named for the city's association with the aerospace industry and played their home games at The Hangar. From 1996 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's California League, a Class A-Advanced league affiliated with Major League Baseball (MLB). With MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues after the 2020 season, Lancaster was not selected to continue in affiliated baseball, and ultimately folded. Jake Thomas Mangum (born March 8, 1996) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Miami Marlins organization. He played college baseball for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Early life and high school Mangum was born in Flowood, Mississippi, raised in nearby Pearl, Mississippi, and attended Jackson Preparatory School in Flowood. In Major League Baseball, a player to be named later (PTBNL) is an unnamed player involved in exchange or "trade" of players between teams. The terms of a trade are not finalized until a later date, most often following the conclusion of the season. Postponing a trade's final conditions or terms is often done for several reasons. First, the team receiving the PTBNL might not be certain which position they want to fill, so this type of deal gives them more time to figure it out. Second, this type of arrangement gives the team receiving the PTBNL more time to evaluate the available talent on the other team. The New Orleans Baby Cakes (formerly the New Orleans Zephyrs) were a Minor League Baseball team in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They are located in Jacksonville, Florida, and are named for shrimp caught in the area. The team plays their home games at 121 Financial Ballpark, which opened in 2003. They previously played at Sam W. Wolfson Baseball Park from 1962 until the end of the 2002 season.
