Eli Cohen (politician Born 1972)
Eli Cohen ( he, אֵלִי כֹּהֵן, born 3 October 1972) is an Israeli accountant and politician. He currently serves as a member of the Knesset for Likud and was Minister of Intelligence. He previously held the post of Minister of the Economy and Industry and was a member of the Security Cabinet of Israel. Biography Cohen was born and raised in the Tel Giborim neighbourhood in Holon. After his IDF national service as a Major in the Israeli air force, he studied at Tel Aviv University, gaining a BA in Accounting and an MBA, majoring in Financing and Accounting. He also obtained a bachelor's degree in Management and economics from the Open University of Israel. He went on to work as an accountant, and lectures at Tel Aviv University. Holon
Holon ( he, חוֹלוֹן ) is a city on the central coastal strip of Israel, south of Tel Aviv. Holon is part of the metropolitan Gush Dan area. In it had a population of . Holon has the second-largest industrial zone in Israel, after Haifa. Its jurisdiction is 19,200 dunams and its population is about 194,273 residents as of 2018 according to CBS data. Snap legislative elections were held in Israel on 17 September 2019 to elect the 120 members of the 22nd Knesset. Following the previous elections in April, incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed to form a governing coalition for a second consecutive time. On 30 May, the Knesset voted to dissolve itself and trigger new elections, in order to prevent Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz from being appointed Prime Minister-designate. Kulanu ( he, כולנו, lit. ''All of Us'') was a centrist political party in Israel founded by Moshe Kahlon that focused on economic and cost-of-living issues. History The party was established on 27 November 2014 following months of speculation that Kahlon would form a new party after he took a break from politics in 2013. Opinion polls in the summer of 2014 had suggested that a new party formed by Kahlon could win 5–8 seats in the Knesset. When the party was established, its registration forms listed Kahlon, Orna Angel and Avi Gabbay as its founders.
