Eleven West is a 24-story building under construction in Portland, Oregon, United States. The building will feature 110,000 square feet of office space, 225 apartments, retail on the street level, and underground parking. Rone
Rone is the pseudonym of Tyrone Wright (born 1980), an internationally renowned street artist based in Melbourne, Australia. History Rone grew up in the city of Geelong, Victoria, before moving to Melbourne in 2001. In 2002, he started decorating skateboards and skate parks before beginning to put paste-ups and stencils on walls around Melbourne. He is known for his iconic "Jane Doe" images. In the earlier years of his career, Rone used to use wheat pasting to do quick paste-ups in busy locations, but nowadays Rone's work on the streets are mostly created using traditional painting materials such as rollers and paintbrushes. ''Capax Infiniti'', or ''Capax Infiniti (Holding the Infinite)'', is a 2014 mural by South African artist Faith47, painted on the side of the Carlyle Building, located at 1114 Southwest Washington Street, in downtown Portland, Oregon, in the United States. Description The mural depicts a slightly disheveled woman looking away from the viewer, and wringing her hands behind her back. The artist said of the work that "I want it to look like it’s been there for a long time. I enjoy working with things that are slightly ghostly. It’s like existing in two spaces at once." History The painting was funded by the Public Art Murals Program and private donors, and is administered by the Regional Arts & Culture Council. Stumptown Coffee Roasters is a coffee roaster and retailer based in Portland, Oregon, United States. The chain's flagship café and roastery opened in 1999. Three other cafes, a roastery and a tasting annex have since opened in Portland, as well as locations in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New Orleans. Twelve West (stylized as twelve , west) is a 22-floor, mixed-use apartment and office building located in downtown Portland, Oregon, United States. The building is home to INDIGO @ twelve , west apartments and ZGF Architects LLP. During design and construction the building was known as “12W” and “ZGF Tower”, but the name changed after a naming contest in July 2009. Initial plans included a hotel and a total of 31 floors, but they were revised after the hotel company withdrew. Wind turbines Four 45-foot-tall (14m) wind turbines are mounted on the roof for the purpose of research and generating electricity. The turbines were expected to generate 9,000 kilowatt hours yearly and provide data on wind flows and bird-strikes.
