Rick White (rock Climber)
Rick White (1946 – 26 November 2004) was an Australian rock climber, best known for discovering and developing the rock climbing destination of Frog Buttress near Boonah in Queensland, Australia. As climbing equipment was extremely hard to purchase in Australia around this time, Rick White founded Mountain Designs as a way to import gear from the United States. White was the first person to solo Ball's Pyramid, and did so with a time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. Rick White (politician)
Richard Alan White (born November 6, 1953) is an American lawyer and politician who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing the from 1995 to 1999. He is a member of the Republican Party. Early life, education, and private sector career White was born and raised primarily in Bloomington, Indiana, but due to his father's job with Marathon Oil, lived in Geneva, Switzerland, and Indianapolis, Indiana, for short periods and graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis. He attended Dartmouth College and studied abroad at the University of Paris. White received his J.D. degree from Georgetown University in 1980. He was first hired as a law clerk to Judge Charles Clark and later became an attorney. In 1986, he became involved with politics for the first time, earning a term on the Queen Anne (Seattle) community council. Richard Allen White (born December 23, 1968) is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher. White spent parts of 12 seasons in the majors, working primarily as a relief pitcher. He batted and threw right-handed. Playing career After graduating from Kenton Ridge High School in Springfield, Ohio, White attended Paducah Community College. He was drafted by the Pirates in the 15th round of the June draft, with the 403rd overall pick. After signing quickly, he made his professional debut with the Pirates' affiliate in the Gulf Coast League that fall. White worked primarily as a starting pitcher while advancing through the minors, and he started 14 games as a swingman with the Pirates in and , before settling in as a reliever with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Rick White (musician)
Rick White (born 5 December 1970) is a Canadian musician and singer-songwriter. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, he was a member of indie bands Eric's Trip, Elevator, Perplexus, and The Unintended. White first played music, in a band called "Bloodstain", in 1984, before starting his own band "in 1986", called "T.C.I.B", which later transitioned into the band name, "The Underdogs", which lasted from the summer of 1987, until June 1988. By the summer of 1989, The Underdogs had broken up, and Rick had joined another band, "The Forest", which lasted from the 1989, until June 1990, with a one-off recording session happening in December, 1990. Prior to Eric's Trip, and while in Eric's Trip, White also recorded two solo-produced albums, one in March 1990, and another in August 1991, but both were not released until 2022.
