Elements (Ludovico Einaudi Album)
''Elements'' is a studio album by Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi released on . Background On 22 September 2012 Einaudi performed a project called "''The'' Elements" at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome as a tribute to his mentor, Luciano Berio, inspired by the four classical elements of air, water, earth, and fire. One piece from the project, "Newton's Cradle", appeared on his 2013 release, ''In a Time Lapse''. The track "Four Dimensions" from this album was also, for the most part, recorded live from the 2012 project's performance. Writing and recording The album takes inspiration from elements of nature, with each track evolving from a small gesture or motif, evoking a journey through fragmented thoughts and feelings. Ludovico Einaudi
Ludovico Maria Enrico Einaudi OMRI (; born 23 November 1955) is an Italian pianist and composer. Trained at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan, Einaudi began his career as a classical composer, later incorporating other styles and genres such as pop, rock, folk, and world music. Einaudi has composed the scores for a number of films and television productions, including ''This Is England'', ''The Intouchables'', '' I'm Still Here'', the TV miniseries ''Doctor Zhivago'', and ''Acquario'' (1996), for which he won the Grolla d'oro. His music was used as the score for the Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning films ''Nomadland'' and '' The Father'.'' He has also released a number of solo albums for piano and other instruments, notably ''I Giorni'' in 2001, ''Nightbook'' in 2009, and ''In a Time Lapse'' in 2013. ''In a Time Lapse'' is a studio album by Italy, Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi released on . Two days before the release, on 19 January, Einaudi played live from his home in Milan solo arrangements of some of the music from ''In a Time Lapse'' through his official YouTube channel. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling songs and albums in various genres in Australia. Mogwai
Mogwai () are a Scottish post-rock band, formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band consists of Stuart Braithwaite (guitar, vocals), Barry Burns (guitar, piano, synthesizer, vocals), Dominic Aitchison (bass guitar), and Martin Bulloch (drums). Mogwai typically compose lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that feature dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy use of distortion and effects. Daniel Hope
Daniel Hope (born 17 August 1973, Durban, South Africa) is a European classical violinist. Early life and education Hope was born in Durban, South Africa, and is of Irish and Jewish German descent, his maternal grandparents, formerly from Berlin, having escaped Nazism. His father is the novelist Christopher Hope, FRSL, and his mother Eleanor Hope worked as an assistant to Yehudi Menuhin. At age six months, his family moved from South Africa to London, because of his father's anti-apartheid views. In the UK Hope was educated at Highgate School and studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Stoke d'Abernon. Mauro Refosco
Mauro Refosco is a Brazilian percussionist. He is best known for working with singer David Byrne and as the former touring and session percussionist for the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He is a member of the experimental supergroup Atoms for Peace – featuring Thom Yorke and Flea – and the forró band Forro in the Dark. Refosco was also briefly a member of Dirty Projectors. Since 2019, Refosco has appeared as one of the principal musicians in the Broadway show, ''American Utopia'', featuring David Byrne and his music. Robert Lippok
Robert Lippok (born 1966 in East Berlin) is a German musician, composer, visual artist, and stage and costume designer. He is co-founder of the bands Ornament und Verbrechen (together with Ronald Lippok) and To Rococo Rot (with Ronald Lippok and Stefan Schneider). Youth and education Lippok grew up in a Catholic family living at Zionskirchplatz in Berlin-Mitte. Lippok's parents were very interested in art. Through an uncle, he came into contact with the music of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, and later Lippok regularly listened to John Peel's radio show on BFBS. Together with a school friend, he began to make music, using a used Casio VL-1 donated by the friend's father. Lippok learned the profession of theatre shoemaker at the German State Opera in Berlin. Classical Element
Classical elements typically refer to earth, water, air, fire, and (later) aether which were proposed to explain the nature and complexity of all matter in terms of simpler substances. Ancient cultures in Greece, Tibet, and India had similar lists which sometimes referred, in local languages, to "air" as "wind" and the fifth element as "void". These different cultures and even individual philosophers had widely varying explanations concerning their attributes and how they related to observable phenomena as well as cosmology. Sometimes these theories overlapped with mythology and were personified in deities. Luciano Berio
Luciano Berio (24 October 1925 – 27 May 2003) was an Italian composer noted for his experimental work (in particular his 1968 composition ''Sinfonia'' and his series of virtuosic solo pieces titled ''Sequenza''), and for his pioneering work in electronic music. His early work was influenced by Igor Stravinsky and experiments with serial and electronic techniques, while his later works explore indeterminacy and the use of spoken texts as the basic material for composition. Biography Berio was born in Oneglia (now part of Imperia), on the Ligurian coast of Italy. He was taught piano by his father and grandfather, who were both organists. During World War II, he was conscripted into the army, but on his first day, he injured his hand while learning how a gun worked and spent time in a military hospital.
