Elementals (Comico Comics)
''Elementals'' was an American superhero comic book first published in 1984 and created by Bill Willingham, for which he was both writer and artist. Published by Comico Comics, it lasted until 1996, including a series of specials and miniseries. Comico's publisher, Andrew Rev, purchased the ''Elementals'' property from Willingham in the 1990s. Fictional setting When a centuries-old sorcerer named Lord Saker built a machine called the Shadowspear to harness the supernatural powers of the world, he upset the natural order of the universe. In response, the four elements, unimaginably powerful spirits who together formed the foundation of existence, each chose an ordinary human who had been killed by their element, and resurrected him or her. They granted each control of that particular element, eternal youth, and the ability to heal from any wound (given sufficient time). The Elementals is a fictional organization appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A variation of the Elementals appeared in the 2019 Marvel Cinematic Universe film '' Spider-Man: Far From Home''. Publication history The Elementals first appeared in ''Supernatural Thrillers'' #8 (August 1974), and were created by Tony Isabella and Val Mayerik. The group subsequently appears in ''Supernatural Thrillers'' #9–15 (October 1974 – October 1975) and ''Ms. Marvel'' #11–12 (November–December 1977). Element Girl
Element Girl is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in ''Metamorpho'' #10 (February 1967), written by Bob Haney and drawn by Sal Trapani. Element Girl's death was featured in Neil Gaiman's ''Sandman'' series in issue #20, "Façade". A similar character named Element Woman appeared during the events of Flashpoint and later appearing in The New 52 as part of the Justice League. Element Lad (Jan Arrah) is a fictional character in the 30th and 31st centuries of the , a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. A native of the planet Trom, he has the power to transmute chemical elements. Publication history Element Lad first appeared in ''Adventure Comics'' #307 and was created by Edmond Hamilton and John Forte. Fictional character biography Pre-''Zero Hour'' Element Lad first appears in '' Adventure Comics'' (vol. 1) #307 (1963). In this first story he is briefly known as "Mystery Lad" as the Legionnaires try to guess his superpower.
