''Electric Head'' is the debut album by English electronic artists The Grid, released in 1990. An extended, double-CD version of the album is released on Cherry Red Records in August 2013. The second CD includes remixes of the singles from Andrew Weatherall, Robert Gordon and Farley and Heller. Alternative mixes of "Floatation" and "A Beat Called Love" were released as singles. Mixes were prepared for a single release of "This Must Be Heaven" but remained unreleased until included on the 2013 reissue of the album. The Grid
The Grid is an English electronic dance group, consisting of David Ball (formerly of Soft Cell) and Richard Norris, with guest contributions from other musicians. They are best known for the hits "Swamp Thing", "Texas Cowboys", "Crystal Clear", "Rollercoaster" and "Floatation". Guy Jeffrey Barker, (born 26 December 1957) is an English jazz trumpeter and composer. Early life Barker was born in Chiswick, London, the son of an actress and a stuntman. He started playing the trumpet at the age of twelve, and within a year had joined the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. At the age of 15 he was playing with the Crouch End Allstars along with Wally Fawkes and Bob Nadkarni. Andrew James Weatherall (6 April 1963 – 17 February 2020) was an English musician, DJ, songwriter, producer and remixer. His career took him from being one of the key DJs in the acid house movement of the late 1980s to being a remixer of tracks by the likes of Happy Mondays, New Order, Björk, the Orb, the Future Sound of London and My Bloody Valentine.
