''Deadline for My Memories'' is the debut solo album by Billie Ray Martin, former lead singer of the band Electribe 101. It was originally released in October 1995, including Martin's biggest hit single, "Your Loving Arms" and the notable follow-up, "Running Around Town". Release history The album was first released in Germany on CD in October 1995 and over the same period a vinyl version was released in the United Kingdom. The CD version was released in Australia also in late 1995 with the UK CD version being released January 1996. The United States and Canada CD versions were released in June 1996. Single releases "Your Loving Arms" was the first single released from the album, originally reaching number 38 in the UK Singles Chart in 1994, but it went on to reach number 6 when it was re-released the following year. ''LA Weekly'' is a free weekly alternative newspaper in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1978 by Jay Levin, who served as president and editor until 1991. Voice Media Group sold the paper in late 2017 to Semanal Media LLC, whose parent company is listed as Street Media. The current Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director is Darrick Rainey. Network Records (formed out of Kool Kat Records) was an independent record label founded in Birmingham, England, in 1988 by Neil Rushton and Dave Barker. It was instrumental in first introducing Detroit techno to a British audience, through its early ''Bio Rhythm'' compilations, as well as house music and developing homegrown breakbeat hardcore. Network released music from artists such as Juan Atkins, Derrick May, MK, Neal Howard, Model 500, Kevin Saunderson, Rhythm on the Loose, Cyclone, Funky Green Dogs From Outer Space, SL2, Nexus 21, Altern-8 & MC Lethal. It launched a spin-off label, Six6 (also known as 6x6) distributed by Virgin Records from 1993-1996. World Violation Tour
The World Violation Tour was a 1990 concert tour by English electronic group Depeche Mode in support of the act's seventh studio album, '' Violator'', which was released in March 1990. It was estimated that by the end of the tour, Depeche Mode had toured to 1.2 million fans. Tour details The band rehearsed for the tour in Pensacola, Florida, the same city where the tour kicked off. Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting). ''Select'' was a United Kingdom music magazine of the 1990s. It was known for covering indie rock, but featured a wide array of music. Launched in July 1990, its first cover star was Prince. After EMAP Metro bought ''Select'', they revamped its image, and it became known for its coverage of Britpop, a term coined in the magazine by Stuart Maconie. Its 1993 "Yanks Go Home" edition, featuring The Auteurs, Denim, Saint Etienne, Pulp and Suede's Brett Anderson on the cover in front of a Union Flag, was an important impetus in defining the movement's opposition to American genres such as grunge. Later, John Harris stepped down as editor, and was replaced by former ''Mixmag'' editor Alexis Petridis. Under Petridis, the magazine's image moved back towards its coverage on an eclectic array of music, aiming to reach what Petridis described as "a wide range of music fans". ''Electribal Memories'' is the first album by house-music group Electribe 101. It was originally released in 1990 and reached number 26 in the UK Albums Chart. The album includes the singles "Tell Me When the Fever Ended" (#32 in the UK Singles Chart), "Talking with Myself" (UK #23), "You're Walking" (UK #50) and a cover of the Jesse Rae / Odyssey song "Inside Out" (UK #77). The album was re-released in 1998 with three remixes of "Talking with Myself," which had gained popularity that year and was again released as a single, reaching number 39 in the UK Singles Chart. In 2002, the album was reissued again under the title ''The Best of Electribe 101 Featuring Billie Ray Martin''. The album has never been released in the United States, and the first pressing was only available as an import, despite the release of the album's singles there.
