Eleanor Glynn
Eleanor Mary Anne Glynn (born 28 March 1986) is an English model and beauty pageant titleholder. She won the Miss SIXTV Oxfordshire title in 2003, the Miss Oxfordshire title in 2006, and the Miss England 2006 title on the 14 July 2006, she later went on to represent England in the Miss World 2006 contest in Poland and then Miss Great Britain in the Miss Europe 2006 contest in Ukraine. Biography Glynn started learning piano in Oxfordshire and attended The Virtuoso songwriting contest held in Reading in 2004. Glynn was part of the Miss World 2006 talent show; performing " Since U Been Gone", hosted in Wrocław. This was followed by a performance at City of Music. Glynn has taken part in the filming of two music videos, the first was for Chico's "Curvy Cola Bottle Body Baby" (which was filmed at Pinewood); the second was for Zak Knight's "All Over Again" (produced and directed by company Pixelloft). Miss England is a national beauty pageant in England. History The contest, title owned by the Miss World organisation is organised each year by Angie Beasley, a winner of 25 beauty contests in the 1980s and has organised beauty pageants around the country on behalf of Miss World, including Miss United Kingdom, Miss England, Miss Scotland and Miss Wales. The contest often attracts celebrity judges at local and national finals. Many celebrities have also judged the regional heats for the competition around the country including glamour model Jordan, who joined the judging panel for Miss Sussex. 2007 Rugby World Cup
The 2007 Rugby World Cup was the sixth Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1987. Twenty nations competed for the Webb Ellis Cup in the tournament, which was hosted by France from 7 September to 20 October. France won the hosting rights in 2003, beating a bid from England. Hammasa Kohistani ( prs, حماسه کوهستانی, born 19 December 1987) is a British model of Afghan descent. She became the first Muslim beauty contestant to be crowned Miss England in 2005. She was crowned at the age of 18, following a two-day competition at Liverpool's Olympia Theatre on 3 September 2005, and was chosen from 40 contestants. Biography Kohistani was born in 1987 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, when it was part of the USSR to Afghan parents who moved there as refugees. Kohistani is of the Afghan Tajik ethnic group. During the Soviet–Afghan War her parents fled to what was then the Uzbek SSR in the Soviet Union. She and her parents returned to Kabul, Afghanistan, but in 1996 they escaped from there when the Taliban took control of the city.
