Eleanor Bauer
Eleanor Bauer is an American choreographer and dancer. Early life and education Eleanor Bauer studied at the Idyllwild Arts Academy (1997–2000) in California and subsequently the NYU School of the Arts (2000–2003). After completing her bachelor's degree in dance, she choreographed and danced in different places in New York, including Danspace Project, The Kitchen, Symphony Space, LaMaMa ETC, Joe's Pub, Judson Church, Joyce SoHo, Dixon Place, OfficeOps, and Ur, The Dance Palace. In 2004, she went to Brussels to study at the dance school P.A.R.T.S., where she completed the Research Cycle (2004–2006). She currently is a PhD candidate in Choreography at the Stockholm University of the Arts. Career Choreography Bauer's work is at the intersection of choreography, dance, text, music and performance. Idyllwild Arts Academy is a private school located in Idyllwild, in the San Jacinto Mountains and San Bernardino National Forest, within western Riverside County, California. Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker
Anne Teresa, Baroness De Keersmaeker (, born 1960 in Mechelen, Belgium, grew up in Wemmel) is a contemporary dance choreographer. The dance company constructed around her, , was in residence at La Monnaie in Brussels from 1992 to 2007. Biography De Keersmaeker did not study dance until her last year of high school, instead studying music, specifically the flute. She studied from 1978 to 1980 at Mudra in Brussels, a school with links to La Monnaie and to Maurice Béjart's Ballet of the 20th Century. She has said that the percussionist and her music teacher at MUDRA, , was a major influence on her. In 1981, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Movement Research
Movement Research is a non-profit organization that offers dance classes, workshops, residencies and performance opportunities for artists in New York City. Its focus is on improvisation, post-modern dance, and experimentation. It was founded in 1978 under the name “The School for Movement Research & Construction” and incorporated in 1980 after its first public performance in 1979. Movement Research organizes performances at the Judson Memorial Church among other locations around New York City.
