Elda Dessel
Elda Dessel (1925 – 17 September 2010) was an Argentine actress. She began her career in the early 1940s, after being selected by director Luis Bayon Herrera to join the Establecimientos Filmadores Argentinos. In the early years, she made film shorts. She gained popularity in her theatrical work alongside Josefina Díaz de Artigas, Pablo Palitos, Raúl Rossi, Elena Lucena, Pepita Martín and Manuel de Sabatini, performing at the Teatro General San Martín. In the 1950s, she performed frequently with Luis Sandrini and Malvina Pastorino. Dessel continued to act in films until 1978. She dabbled in television roles until retiring in 1987. Dessel died in 2010 of unknown causes and her remains were buried at La Chacarita Cemetery Cementerio de la Chacarita in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is known as the National Cemetery and is the largest in Argentina. Luis Sandrini
Luis Sandrini (22 February 1905 – 5 July 1980) was a prolific Argentine comic film actor and film producer. Widely considered one of the most respected and most acclaimed Argentine comedians by the public and critics. He has made over 80 appearances in film between 1933 and 1980. Early life He was born in the neighborhood of Caballito and was the son of Genovese immigrants. His father was a theatrical actor, and Luis began to work in a circus next to his parents, like clown. In the 1930s he entered the theatrical company of Enrique Muiño and Elías Isaac Alippi, where he met his first wife, the actress Chela Cordero. La Chacarita Cemetery
Cementerio de la Chacarita in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is known as the National Cemetery and is the largest in Argentina. Location The cemetery is in the barrio or district of Chacarita, in the western part of Buenos Aires. Its main entrance is on Avenida Guzmán. History The cemetery owes its existence to a yellow fever epidemic in 1871, when existing cemeteries were strained beyond capacity (the upscale La Recoleta Cemetery refused to allow the burial of victims of the epidemic). Students of the College of San Carlos appropriated in the adjoining Colegiales area for this purpose, but had their facility closed by the city in 1886. The New Chacarita Cemetery began to function in 1887 and was formally designated as such in 1896. Teatro General San Martín
The Teatro General San Martín (General San Martín Theater) is an important public theater in Buenos Aires, located on Corrientes Avenue and adjacent to the cultural center of the same name. It is one of the major theaters in Argentina and offers venues for the representation of stage works and film, as well as art exhibitions.
