Elberon (NJT Station)
Elberon is a railway station in the Elberon section of Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The station is served by New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line. Located at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Truax Road, It is the first station south of the electrified section of the line. The station has two side level high-level platforms and 229 parking spaces for commuter use. History Elberon station opened in 1876 as the fourth of four stations on the New York and Long Branch Railroad, a railroad jointly owned and operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The railroad had a station downtown, along with stops at West End (Hollywood) and nearby Branchport. The depot caught fire on November 26, 1898 after burning telegraph wires ignited the depot, along with stations at Avon, Branchport and Asbury Park. Asbury Park Station
Asbury Park is an NJ Transit railway station in Asbury Park, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It is served by trains on the North Jersey Coast Line. It is located along Cookman Avenue between Main Street and Memorial Drive. The current Asbury Park station is one of two original Asbury Park stations on the line. The Garfield Tea House in Long Branch, New Jersey, is the only remaining structure directly related to President James A. Garfield's final trip to the Jersey Shore. Bay Head Station
Bay Head is a railway station in Bay Head, in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. The station is served by trains on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line, and it is the southern terminus for the line. The rail yard contains of wetland inside the loop formed by the tracks used to turn around the trains. The rail yard borders Twilight Lake. Parking is free at the Bay Head station although the lot is only about a fourth of the size of the lot at the next station, Point Pleasant Beach, which requires payment. This station is not listed as disabled accessible by NJ Transit. Passengers must use the train stairs to climb up to the cars or descend to street level.
