El Verano De Los Peces Voladores
''The Summer of Flying Fish'' ( es, El Verano de los Peces Voladores) is a 2013 Chilean-French comedy-drama film directed by Marcela Said. The film premiered in the Directors' Fortnight at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Starring Gregory Cohen, Francisca Walker, María Izquierdo, Roberto Cayuqueo and Bastián Bodenhöfer. Plot Manena is on vacation in the south of Chile with her father Francisco, a capitalist landowner and wildlife hunter. Francisco is obsessed with eliminating the carp fish in his aquaculture, resorting to increasingly extreme methods such as using explosives. Marcela Said
Marcela Paz Said Cares (born 26 March 1972) is a Franco-Chilean director and screenwriter. Life and career Marcela Said obtained a degree in aesthetics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. In 1997, Said moved to France, studying film and media at the Paris-Sorbonne University. In 1999, Said's first documentary, ''Valparaíso'', premiered, produced by Les Films d’Ici. Two years later she directed the documentary '' I Love Pinochet'', which focused on supporters of the late dictator Augusto Pinochet. The film won awards at the Valparaíso Film Festival and the Santiago International Documentary Festival (FIDOCS), and received an Altazor Award. Paola Andrea Lattus Ramos (born 19 August 1980) is a Chilean film, theater, and television actress, known for appearing in films such as '' Tony Manero'' (2008) by Pablo Larraín and ''Optical Illusions'' (2009) by Cristián Jiménez. Chilean cinema refers to all films produced in Chile or made by Chileans. It had its origins at the start of the 20th century with the first Chilean film screening in 1902 and the first Chilean feature film appearing in 1910. Mapuche
The Mapuche ( (Mapuche & Spanish: )) are a group of indigenous inhabitants of south-central Chile and southwestern Argentina, including parts of Patagonia. The collective term refers to a wide-ranging ethnicity composed of various groups who shared a common social, religious, and economic structure, as well as a common linguistic heritage as Mapudungun speakers. Their habitat once extended from Aconcagua Valley to Chiloé Archipelago and later spread eastward to Puelmapu, a land comprising part of the Argentine pampa and Patagonia. Inti Briones Arredondo (born in 1971 in Peru) is a cinematographer, film producer. He is known for his work in various media formats, media digital video and motion picture film. In 2013, he was named as one of Variety Magazine's "10 Cinematographers to Watch.". Bastián Lorenzo Bodenhöfer Alexander (Santiago, July 1, 1961) is a Chilean actor, theater director, musician and cultural manager. He served as cultural attaché of the Chile embassy in France between 2000 and 2002, during the government of president Ricardo Lagos.
