El Tránsito is a municipality in the department of San Miguel, El Salvador. According to the official census of 2016, it has a population of 21,093 inhabitants. It limits the north with the municipality of San Rafael Oriente; to the east with the municipality of San Miguel and the lagoon of El Jocotal; to the southeast with the municipality of Jucuarán; to the southwest with the municipality of Concepción Batres; and to the west with the municipality of Ereguayquín. Sports The local professional football club is named C.D. UDET and it currently plays in the Salvadoran Third Division. Also there were 2 other football teams these are: C.D. San Carlos and C.D. San Miguel () is a department in the eastern part of El Salvador. The capital is San Miguel. The department is 2,077 km2 in area and has a population of over 678,000. Before the Spanish conquest of El Salvador, the territory that now consists of the departments of San Miguel, La Unión and Morazán was the Lenca kingdom of Chaparrastique (Place of Beautiful Orchids). San Miguel was first known as San Miguel de la Frontera. The city was founded by Luis de Moscoso on May 8, 1530, where it is now Santa Elena. On July 11, 1812, the city was given the title of "Noble y Leal Ciudad" (noble and loyal city). It was made a department on June 12, 1824. San Miguel () is a city in eastern El Salvador. It is the country's third most populous city. It is located 138 km east of the capital, San Salvador. Jucuarán
′′′Jucuarán′′′ is a municipality in the department of Usulután, El Salvador. According to the official census of 2007, it has a population of 13,424 inhabitants. History The population is of pre-Columbian origin Ulúa, and by the year 1550 it was inhabited by about 300 people. It suffered an onslaught of pirates in 1682, which forced the inhabitants to flee the town. Upon their return they established a new settlement, apart from the original one. According to Pedro Cortés y Larraz, by 1770 it belonged to the parish of Ereguayquín. He entered the San Alejo Party in 1786, and on June 12, 1824, the department of San Miguel. Years later it would be extinguished as a municipality, and it became a canton, but its status was restored and it became part of the department of Usulután. By 1890 it had 1,268 inhabitants. Tercera Division de Fútbol Salvadoreño is the third division of football in El Salvador. The champion is promoted to the Segunda División de El Salvador. The team with the lowest points in each group will be demoted to the amateur league. Structure There are 24 clubs in Tercera Division divided into 4 groups of 10. They play in Apertura and Clausura. The clubs plays every team in each group twice. The top four teams from each group, 16 teams in total, qualify for play-offs to determine the winner of the apertura and clausura title.
