El Rey Inn
The El Rey Court (formerly known as the El Rey Inn) is located at 1862 Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This campus spans 5 acres and is located near what used to be Route 66. The property includes traditional adobe style buildings surrounded by gardens. History When El Rey Court was opened in 1936, it only had 12 rooms. The hotel was built in traditional Northern New Mexico adobe style. The hotel's developer was also responsible for constructing another hotel named El Vado which is located an hour south in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Although these two hotels were built by the same developer, they have never shared the same owner. In 1936, both of these properties were located on the original U.S. Route 66. The El Rey National Park ( es, Parque Nacional El Rey) is a national park of Argentina, located in the Anta Department, province of Salta, in the Argentine Northwest, 80 km from the provincial capital. It has an area of 441.62 km². The park was created in order to preserve a representative sample of the Southern Andean Yungas ecoregion and transition environments. El Rey Theatre
The El Rey Theatre is a live music venue in the Miracle Mile area of the Mid-Wilshire region in Los Angeles, California. This art deco building was designed by Clifford A. Balch (who designed over twenty classic art deco movie theatres around Southern California). Much of the theatre, including the lobby, still retains its art deco roots, admired for its Zigzag and Streamline Moderne design. History El Rey was built in 1936 as a single-screen movie theatre and functioned as a cinema for nearly 50 years. From the 1980s to the early 1990s, El Rey Theatre was a dance-music club called Wall Street, but since 1994 this theatre has been a live music venue which is now exclusively booked through Goldenvoice. El Rey Archaeological Site
El Rey is an archaeological site of the pre-Columbian Mayan culture, located in the southeast of Mexico, in the tourist resort of Cancun, in the state of Quintana Roo. Geography The El Rey site is located on the Mexican coast of the Caribbean Sea, in the hotel zone of the island of Cancun. The island is located on the outskirts of the city centre and is connected by two bridges to the mainland. The original name in the Mayan language is not known. In 1909 two English travelers Channing Arnold and Frederick Frost visited the site and found an anthropomorphic sculpture of what was interpreted as a monarch or a noble person. The name El Rey ("the king") comes from a sculpture that resembles a monarch, the head of which is preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Cancun. Ernest Anthony Puente Jr. (April 20, 1923 – June 1, 2000), commonly known as Tito Puente, was an American musician, songwriter, bandleader, and record producer of Puerto Rican descent. He is best known for dance-oriented mambo and Latin jazz compositions from his 50-year career. His most famous song is "Oye Como Va".
