El Palmar is a village and the most populated district in Province of Murcia, Murcia, Spain. It is part of the municipality of Murcia. 24,266 people resided in the territory in 2020. There are two hypotheses about the district name. According to the first one, the name is due to the presence of palm trees and Chamaerops, European fan palms. The 2019–20 Copa del Rey was the 118th staging of the Copa del Rey (including two seasons where two rival editions were played). The 2019–20 Tercera División is the fourth tier of Spanish football. It began in August 2019 and was supposed to end in late June 2020 with the promotion play-off finals. On 11 March 2020, the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain.
