El Modelo México
Mr World Mexico refers to the pageant title given to the Mexican men chosen to represent Mexico at the international male beauty pageant Mister World. The nation has taken part in every edition of Mister World ever since its establishment in 1996, debut year in which Mexico's Gabriel Soto placed second (first runner-up) — the highest placement achieved by a Mexican contestant in that event to this day. As of 2016, the Miss Mexico Organization is in charge of making the selection of the country's delegate to Mister World, generally occurring every year the (usually biannual) global competition takes place. Beauty Pageant
A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Pageant titles are subdivided into Miss, Mrs. or Ms., and Teen – to clearly identify the difference between pageant divisions. Mister World
The Mister World competition is a male beauty pageant sponsored by the Miss World Organisation. The competition was founded in 1996. The entrants compete in various activities including waterskiing, mountain biking, and marathon running. The current Mister World is Jack Heslewood, an Aerospace Engineer from England, who was crowned on 23 August 2019 in Manila. He is the first ever English person to win a World title, the fifth European to be crowned Mister World in the 2019 contest. Traditionally, Mister World lives in London during his reign. Gabriel Soto
Gabriel Soto Díaz (born April 17, 1975) is a Mexican actor and model. He won the national male pageant El Modelo Mexico, and placed first runner-up in Mister World 1996. He was also a member of the former Mexican boy band Kairo, and acts in telenovelas. Biography Gabriel Soto attended Edron Academy. Career He began modeling at age 18 after participating in the Mister World contest in 1996 in Istanbul, Turkey, and becoming the first runner-up. In 1997, Gabriel joined the band Kairo replacing Eduardo Verástegui. The albums he participated were ''Libres'' and ''Pasiones''. Miss Mexico Organization
Miss Mexico is a national Beauty pageant in Mexico. It is responsible for selecting the country's delegates to international beauty contests: Miss World, Mister World, and other minor international pageants such as Miss Supranational, Miss Grand International and Miss United Continents. In association with Telemax and Televisa, the Miss México pageant directed by Hugo Castellanos is one of biggest pageants in Mexico; 32 women from 31 states and Mexico D.F. compete for the title of Miss México or Miss World Mexico. María de Guadalupe "Lupita" Jones Garay (, ; born 6 September 1967) is a Mexican television producer, model, actress, and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 1991. She was the first Mexican contestant to win the crown. Since 1994, Jones has been the national director of the Mexican division of the Mexicana Universal franchise. Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country’s delegates to Miss Universe, Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm International, and Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal. The current Mexicana Universal is Irma Miranda of Sonora, who will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022. The organization is directed by the nation's first Miss Universe titleholder, Lupita Jones (1991).
