''El Color De Los Sueños'' is the third studio album by Mexican singer Fey. It was released in November 3, 1998 by Sony Music Entertainment Mexico. Controversy The album was much less successful than the artist's previous album, ''Tierna La Noche'', arguably because of the controversies that came about during this time. Fey's age, marital status and religious beliefs were all questioned intensely by the media, which also criticized Fey's management for wanting to create a ''diva'' out of Fey. It was also during this time that the artist's mysterious retirement announcement came about. In later interviews, Fey would go on to blame her retirement on the huge amount of work set on her by her manager, and then-boyfriend, ''Mauri Stern''. Despite the controversies the album still charted at #1 in Mexico along with many of its singles reaching the top spots. The album also spun a worldwide successful tour of the same name. María Fernanda Blázquez Gil (born July 21, 1973), known artistically as Fey, is a Latin Grammy Award-nominated Mexican singer, songwriter, designer, dancer, record producer, and director. She has released seven studio albums and done one international tour and a short tour to promote her third studio album. She rose to fame with her self-titled debut album, ''Fey,'' released in 1995, which was followed by ''Tierna La Noche'', and ''El Color De Los Sueños''. ''Tierna la Noche'' is the second album by Mexican pop singer Fey. The album was released in mid 1996 and quickly climbed the charts to later peak at the top spot. The album stayed there for more than 3 months and stayed in the Top 20 for more than 40 weeks. In sales, the album was quite successful and with time became the highest selling Latin female album of the year, beating out Thalía, Paulina Rubio and other singers already established in the Mexican music scene. " Azúcar Amargo", the album's first single, peaked at #1 in most countries in Latin America, and did fairly well in the U.S. Latin tracks. All the songs in the album received airplay, even though only 2 official videos were made. ''Vértigo'' is the fourth studio album by Mexican singer Fey. It was released on May 21, 2002, by Epic Records and Sony Music Mexico. The album instantly succeeded in Latin America, topping the charts. The album took 2 years to complete. Musically, it incorporates elements of europop, electronica and alternative pop. It debuted at number one in Fey's native Mexico, topping the album charts and opening with an impressive 75,000 copies. Vertigo was the last album Fey released with Sony Music until 2012, when she signed a new record deal with the label.
