Ekot
''Dagens Eko'' ("Echo of the day") – often shortened to ''Ekot'' ("The echo") – is the news service of Swedish national radio broadcaster Sveriges Radio. It provides news bulletins of variable length which are known as ''Ekonyheter'' ("Echo news") and broadcast at the top of most hours on the P1 and P4 networks. Those on P4 are supplemented by local news reports. On P1 there are extra bulletins on the half-hour at 5.30–8.30 on weekdays as part of the nearly 4-hour-long morning news magazine ''P1-morgon''. P1 also carries longer news programmes at 12.30 (''Luncheko'', concluding with a press review), 15.45 (weekdays only), 16.45, and 17.45. The 16.45 edition (''Dagens Eko kvart i fem'') is Sweden's most listened-to radio news programme claiming a daily audience of around two million. Sveriges Radio AB (, "Sweden's Radio") is Sweden's national publicly funded radio broadcaster. Sveriges Radio is a public limited company, owned by an independent foundation, previously funded through a licensing fee, the level of which is decided by the Swedish Riksdag. P1 is a national radio channel produced by the Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Radio (SR). It was launched in 1925 as the first national radio station in Sweden, and adopted its current format in 1966. History Until 12 January 2015, SR P1 closed down between 2.30 am and 5.30 am every day, with the "Vågskvalpet" ( sv) looping tune and an encrypted talking newspaper broadcast for the vision impaired filling the off-air hours. P4 (''pe fyra'') is a national radio channel produced by the Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Radio. P4 was started in 1987 as a network of regional stations, but national programming was added in 1993 when P3 was relaunched as a specialist youth channel and P4 took over a large part of P3's former programming intended for a more adult audience. Programming Targeted at an across-the-board audience, but with the emphasis on older listeners, it is the corporation's most popular radio channel, presenting popular music, entertainment, and sport. On weekdays most of the daytime schedule comes from 25 different regional stations, each producing programming (including local news coverage) for their own areas, while in the evenings and at weekends the channel carries national programming. WSB (750 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Atlanta, Georgia. It airs a news/talk radio format, simulcast on Doraville-licensed WSBB-FM.
