Ekaterina Kostetskaya
Yekaterina Aleksandrovna Kostetskaya (russian: Екатерина Александровна Костецкая; born December 31, 1986) is a Russian track athlete. She came fifth in the 800 m final at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics, but was later disqualified for doping. Kostetskaya met Australian pole vaulter Steve Hooker at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and married him in 2012. They have three sons and live in Melbourne, Australia. Doping IAAF announced 28 July 2014, that Kostetskaya was sanctioned for doping after her biological passport had showed abnormalities. The two-year ban ended 20 January 2015. Grosseto () is a city and ''comune'' in the central Italian region of Tuscany, the capital of the Province of Grosseto. Leiria (; cel-x-proto, ɸlāryo) is a city and municipality in the Central Region of Portugal. It is the 2nd largest city in that same region, with a municipality population of 128,640 (as of 2021) in an area of . 2009 European Team Championships
The first European Athletics Team Championships took place on 20 and 21 June 2009. The track and field athletics tournament run by European Athletics was the successor of the old European Cup competition which was held annually until 2008. The Championships saw a number of new rules introduced, which were criticised by some athletes and observers. New rules The European Team Championships modified and added to the rules of its predecessor competition, the European Cup. Athletics At The 2008 Summer Olympics
Athletics at the 2008 Summer Olympics were held during the last ten days of the games, from August 15 to August 24, 2008, at the Beijing National Stadium. The Olympic sport of athletics is split into four distinct sets of events: track and field events, road running events, and racewalking events. Both men and women had very similar schedules of events. Men competed in 24 events and women in 23, as their schedule lacked the 50 km race walk. In addition, both the men's 110 m hurdles and decathlon are reflected in the women's schedule by the 100 m hurdles and heptathlon, respectively. The Olympic record was broken in 17 returning events. In five events, including the inaugural women's 3000 m steeplechase, the world record was broken.
