Ekachai Uekrongtham ( th, เอกชัย เอื้อครองธรรม; ; zh, 吕翼谋) is a Thai theatre and film director. Based in Singapore, Ekachai is the founding artistic director of ACTION Theatre, a Singapore professional theatre company. Among his stage works is '' Chang & Eng'', a musical based on Chang and Eng Bunker, the original "Siamese twins". Dolph Lundgren
Hans Lundgren (, ; born 3 November 1957), better known as Dolph Lundgren, is a Swedish actor, filmmaker and martial artist. His breakthrough came in 1985, when he starred in ''Rocky IV'' as the imposing Soviet boxer Ivan Drago. Since then, Lundgren has starred in more than 80 films,all of them in the action genre. ''Everything but the Brain'' is a tragicomedy by Singaporean local writer Jean Tay. The work revolves around two main characters: Elaine Lim, a Science physics teacher, and her father Lim Chong Boon, a stroke-afflicted former professor. Originally developed at the Playwrights' Cove at The Necessary Stage in 2001, ''Everything but the Brain'' was first performed in 2005. The play won Best Original Script (for Tay) and Best Actor (for Gerald Chew as the father) at ''The Straits Times Life!'' Theatre Awards 2006 and was published by Epigram Books in 2010. ''Skin Trade'' is a 2014 American action thriller film directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham. It stars Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White, and Ron Perlman. Lundgren wrote the film with Gabriel Dowrick and Steven Elder, while John Hyams performed uncredited script revisions. The film centers around New Jersey police detective Nick Cassidy, as he travels to Asia intent on killing the man who murdered his family, mobster Viktor Dragovic. Development started in 2007 after Lundgren read a news report about a group of girls being smuggled into the United States from Mexico. The girls were left in a vehicle along the border and, trapped inside, they all died of heat stroke and suffocation.
