Ek Hi Raasta (1956 Film)
''Ek Hi Raasta'' () is a 1956 family-drama Indian Hindi film directed and produced by B. R. Chopra. It starred Sunil Dutt, Meena Kumari, Ashok Kumar, Daisy Irani, Jeevan and Shrinath in main roles. The music for the film was scored by Hemanta Mukherjee. Having directed a few films earlier, Chopra formed his own production house B.R. Films in 1955 and ''Ek Hi Raasta'' was the first film produced under this banner. The film was remade in Telugu as ''Kumkuma Rekha'' (1960) and in Tamil as ''Pudhiya Pathai'' (1960). Plot The film starts with the portrayal of happily married couple, ''Amar'' (Sunil Dutt) and ''Malti'' (Meena Kumari) who have a son named ''Raja'' (Daisy Irani). Annu Kapoor (born Anil Kapoor; 20 February 1956) is an Indian actor, singer, director, radio disc jockey, and television presenter who has appeared in over a hundred films, as well as television series. ''Waqt'' () is a 1965 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Yash Chopra, produced by B. R. Chopra and written by Akhtar Mirza and Akhtar-Ul-Iman. It made it onto the BFI's long list of films in consideration for their top ten of Indian films award. The film stars Sunil Dutt, Raaj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Sadhana Shivdasani, Sharmila Tagore, Balraj Sahni, Achala Sachdev, Rehman and Madan Puri in lead roles. ''Dhool Ka Phool'' () is a 1959 Indian Hindi-language film produced by B. R. Chopra and directed by B. R.'s brother Yash Chopra, being his first movie as a director, having been an assistant director in B. R.'s earlier film ''Naya Daur''. The film stars Rajendra Kumar, Mala Sinha, Nanda, Leela Chitnis, Jeevan, Manmohan Krishna, and Ashok Kumar. Yash Raj Chopra (27 September 1932 21 October 2012) was an Indian people, Indian film director and film producer who worked in Bollywood, Hindi cinema. The founding chairman of the film production and distribution company Yash Raj Films, Chopra was the recipient of several awards, including 6 National Film Awards and 8 Filmfare Awards. He is considered among the best Indian filmmakers. For his contributions to film, the Government of India honoured him with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2001, and the Padma Bhushan in 2005. Majrooh Sultanpuri
Asrar ul Hassan Khan (1 October 1919 − 24 May 2000), better known as Majrooh Sultanpuri, was an Indian Urdu poet and lyricist in India's Hindi language film industry. He wrote Hindustani lyrics for numerous Hindi film soundtracks. He was one of the dominating musical forces in Indian cinema in the 1950s and early 1960s, and was an important figure in the Progressive Writers' Movement.
