Bayerisch Eisenstein
Bayerisch Eisenstein, until 1951 just Eisenstein ( cs, Bavorská Železná Ruda) is a village and a municipality in the Regen district, in Bavaria, Germany. Geography Bayerisch Eisenstein is part of Bayerischer Wald and borders the first German national park established in 1968. The town is both winter and summer resort. In the summer walking in the forest and mountains is popular. In winter, winter sports prevail concentrating on the Großer Arber mountain. It is one of a trio of connected places in the area. The other two are Železná Ruda (german: Böhmisch Eisenstein or ''Markt Eisenstein'') and Špičák (german: Dorf Eisenstein), both in Czech Republic. Železná Ruda lies 2 kilometres northeast from Bayerisch Eisenstein. The town's railway station is split by the border. Eisenstein is a town in Price County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 630 at the 2010 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 76.3 square miles (197.7 km2), of which, 74.9 square miles (194.0 km2) of it is land and 1.4 square miles (3.7 km2) of it (1.85%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 669 people, 272 households, and 201 families residing in the town. The population density was 8.9 people per square mile (3.4/km2). There were 469 housing units at an average density of 6.3 per square mile (2.4/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.56% White, 0.45% African American, 1.49% Native American, 0.15% from other races, and 1.35% from two or more races. Gotthold Eisenstein
Ferdinand Gotthold Max Eisenstein (16 April 1823 – 11 October 1852) was a German mathematician. He specialized in number theory and mathematical analysis, analysis, and proved several results that eluded even Carl Friedrich Gauss, Gauss. Like Évariste Galois, Galois and Niels Henrik Abel, Abel before him, Eisenstein died before the age of 30. He was born and died in Berlin, Kingdom of Prussia, Prussia. Odile Eisenstein
Odile Eisenstein is a theoretical chemist who specializes in modelling the structure and reactivity of transition metals and lanthanide complexes. She is currently the equivalent of an Emeritus Professor at the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier, équipe CTMM at Montpellier 2 University and a professor at the Hylleraas Centre for Quantum Molecular Sciences at the University of Oslo. She has been a member of the French Academy of Sciences since 2013, as the first female elect. Simon Eisenstein
Simeon Aisenstein (25 January 1884, Kiev, Imperial Russia - 3 September 1962, Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom) born Семёна Моисеевича Айзенштейна (Semyon Moiseevich Aisenstein), was a pioneer and entrepreneur in radio and telegraphy transmission in Imperial Russia. In 1916 he was appointed manager of the Marconi Company in Russia but later moved to England where he spent most of his life working for Marconi Company, Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Company and later on English Electric Valve Company which he founded in 1947. His major achievement was the development of valves (also known as tubes) for high power radio transmission. This allowed for the first time transmission to submarines using Very Low Frequencies (VLF), as well as Medium Wave (MF) broadcasting stations with a power of up to 500 kilowatts. References
