Einar Rasmussen (born 16 July 1956) is a Norway, Norwegian canoe racing, sprint canoeist who competed from the mid-1970s to the late 1980s. He won ten medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with four golds (K-1 10000 m: 1981 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1981, 1983 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1983; K-2 1000 m: 1979 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1979, K-4 10000 m: 1975 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1975), three silvers (K-1 10000 m: 1979, 1982 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1982; K-2 1000 m: 1978 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1978), and three bronzes (K-1 1000 m: 1981, 1982; K-1 10000 m: 1987 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, 1987). The International Canoe Federation (ICF) is the umbrella organization of all national canoe organizations worldwide. It is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, and administers all aspects of canoe sport worldwide. 157 countries are affiliated with the ICF after seven national federations were added at the 2008 ICF Congress in Rome. In light of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ICF suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus from competing at any International Canoe Federation events, and suspended all officials from Russia and Belarus from officiating at any event sanctioned by ICF, and from attending or taking part in any ICF meetings, committees, and forums.
