Einar Grøstad
Einar Grøstad (1902–1983) was a Norwegian jurist and civil servant. He graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1925, and worked as a deputy judge in Romsdal from 1928 to 1930. In 1930 he was hired in the Ministry of Finance, advancing to assistant secretary in 1935. In 1948 he was promoted to deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Defence from 1948 to 1954, before serving as deputy under-secretary of state in the Ministry of Finance from 1954 to 1972. He had a short hiatus from 1959 to 1960, when he was the director of Statens bygge- og eiendomsdirektorat. He had applied for the position in the Ministry of Finance in 1951, when Friedrich Georg Nissen was to be succeeded, and all deputy under-secretaries agreed that he was the best qualified among the applicants. Romsdal District Court
Romsdal District Court ( no, Romsdal tingrett) was a district court in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The court was based in the town of Molde. The court existed until 2021. It had jurisdiction over the central part of the county which included the municipalities of Aukra, Fræna, Midsund, Molde, Nesset, Rauma, Sandøy, and Vestnes. Cases from this court could be appealed to Frostating Court of Appeal. The court was led by the chief judge () Svein Eikrem. This court employed a chief judge and three other judges. Friedrich Georg Nissen (28 October 1887 - 1969) was a Norwegian civil servant. He was born in Bergen, and was a cand.jur. by education. He was hired in the Ministry of Social Affairs in 1915, and was promoted to subdirector in 1919. In 1924 he changed to the Ministry of Finance and Customs. He was promoted to deputy under-secretary of State in 1933 and permanent under-secretary of State in 1952, before retiring in 1957. Sigurd Lorentzen
Sigurd Juell Lorentzen (5 August 1916 – 25 January 1979) was a Norwegian judge and civil servant. He was born in Sunndal, and was a brother of professor Gustav Fredrik Lorentzen. He married judge Lelia Marie Loe in 1957. They resided in Bærum. He enrolled as a student in 1934, graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1938, and worked as a secretary in ''Trustkontrollkontoret'' from 1939 to 1940 and in the Norwegian Price Directorate from 1940 to 1945. After a brief time in the Ministry of Finance in 1945, to which he was summoned by Wilhelm Thagaard,Lie, 1995: p. 198 he returned to the Price Directorate and remained here until 1949. Trygve Bratteli
(11 January 1910 – 20 November 1984) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician with the Norwegian Labour Party. He served as the 26th prime minister of Norway from 1971 to 1972 and again from 1973 to 1976. He was president of the Nordic Council in 1978. Background Bratteli was born on the island of Nøtterøy at Færder in Vestfold, Norway. His parents were Terje Hansen Bratteli (1879–1967) and Martha Barmen (1881–1937). He attended school locally, having many jobs including: work in fishing, as a coal miner and on a building site. Eivind Erichsen
Eivind Erichsen (28 January 1917 – 21 January 2005) was a Norwegian economist and civil servant. Life and career He was born in Kristiania as a son of postmaster Erik Emanuel Erichsen (1884–1963) and Petra Antoine Olsen (1885–1930). In May 1944 he married Ingrid Holmboe. She was a great-grandniece of Bernt Michael and Christopher Andreas Holmboe. The couple had two children. Erichsen graduated from the University of Oslo in 1943 with the cand.oecon. degree. This was during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, and he was imprisoned in Bredtveit concentration camp from 15 October 1943, then in Berg concentration camp from 29 October 1943 to 16 April 1944.
