Eilon () is a kibbutz in northern Israel. Located a mile south of Lebanese border and six miles east of the Mediterranean coast, the kibbutz sits on a ridge between two streams, Nahal Betzet and Nahal Kziv and falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Asher Regional Council. Etymology The name Eilon is derived from ''Elah'' (pistacia) and ''Allon'' (oak), two tree species abundant in this heavily forested area of northern Israel, though specifically referred to the "remnants of ancient trees in the vicinity." The Polish-Jewish immigrants cleared the forest and planted orchards to feed a small population on a rocky hillside. Keshet Eilon
Keshet Eilon (Hebrew: ''קשת אילון'') is a music center established in the year 1990, located in Kibbutz Eilon, Israel. Its mission is to be a source of strength and support for young gifted violinists. Every summer Keshet Eilon holds a three-week-long international violin seminar. The students come from different countries throughout the world and the participating teachers are prominent violinists and violin teachers. Background Keshet Eilon music center and master courses have been established in Eilon in the Western Galilee in the year 1990, to support 12 young violin students, sons and daughters of immigrating families from the former Soviet Union. In the year 1991 the non-profit organization Keshet Eilon was formed, which aims to train and promote young violinists from Israel and throughout the world who are intent on attaining the highest musical level. Itzhak Rashkovsky
Itzhak Rashkovsky ( he, יצחק רשקובסקי) (born 1955) is a Ukrainian-Israeli violinist and pedagogue who obtained master's degree from the Israeli Academy of Music where he was under guidance from Yair Kless. He is a music director and one of the founders of the Keshet Eilon's Violin Mastercourse and is a founder and artistic director of the London Music Masters. Mateh Asher Regional Council
The Mateh Asher Regional Council ( he, מועצה אזורית מטה אשר, ''Mo'atza Azorit Mateh Asher'') is a regional council in the western Galilee of northern Israel. It is named after the Tribe of Asher which had been allotted the region in antiquity according to the Book of Joshua (19:24–31). It was founded in 1982 as a merger of three regional councils: Ga'aton, Na'aman and Sulam Tzor. The council's offices are located on Highway 4, between Regba and Lohamei HaGeta'ot. Kibbutz volunteers are people who come from all over the world to live and work in a kibbutz in Israel. These volunteers, mostly young people, usually stay at the kibbutz for a short period of time, working in various branches of the kibbutz economy (agriculture, kitchen, gardening and factory).
