Eike Geisel
Eike Geisel (1945 – 6 August 1997) was a German journalist known in Germany and Israel for his polemical essays on German and Jewish history and on Zionism. Literary career A characterization of the book ''An Eye for an Eye'' by John Sack in ''Frankfurter Rundschau'' (''taz'' had not accepted the article) as "Antisemitische Rohkost" (antisemitic raw food) stopped the German publishing of the translated book 1986. Geisel published among others in ''Haaretz'', an interview with Tom Segev about Israel's founding fathers. He translated some of the work of Hannah Arendt and essays about Zionism, Palestine and Germany into German. Together with Henryk Broder he published essays and a documentary film about Jüdischer Kulturbund (Jewish Cultural Union), an unknown chapter of Jewish German cultural life during the Nazi era. Klaus Bittermann
Klaus Bittermann (born 1952, Kulmbach, West Germany), also known under the pseudonym of Artur Cravan, is a German author and publisher. Life Bitterman, in the early 1970s, moved to Nuremberg to attend the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, majoring in philosophy, sociology and political science. Even as a student he worked as a book producer. Since 1979 he runs the publishing house Edition Tiamat, initially in Nuremberg, but from 1981 onward in Berlin. He also writes and is a satirist. Günter Kunert
Günter Kunert (; 6 March 1929 – 21 September 2019) was a German writer. Based in East Berlin, he published poetry from 1947, supported by Bertold Brecht. After he had signed a petition against the deprivation of the citizenship of Wolf Biermann in 1976, he lost his SED membership, and moved to the West two years later. He is regarded as a versatile German writer who wrote short stories, essays, autobiographical works, film scripts and novels. He received international honorary doctorates and awards. Life Kunert was born in Berlin. After attending a Volksschule, it was not possible for Kunert—due to the National Socialist race laws—to continue his high school education because his mother was Jewish.
