Eija Nivala
Eija Hannele Nivala (born 27 February 1967) is a Finnish priest and politician, formerly representing the Centre Party in the parliament of Finland. Nivala ran in the 2015 parliamentary election in the electoral district of Oulu, but her 4,476 votes were not enough to get elected. However, after MP Mirja Vehkaperä left the parliament in June 2018, Nivala took the vacated seat and started her term in the parliament on 18 June 2018. The Parliament of Finland ( ; ) is the unicameral and supreme legislature of Finland, founded on 9 May 1906. In accordance with the Constitution of Finland, sovereignty belongs to the people, and that power is vested in the Parliament. The Parliament consists of 200 members, 199 of whom are elected every four years from 13 multi-member districts electing 7 to 36 members using the proportional D'Hondt method. Oulu is a Finnish constituency represented in eduskunta. It covers the administrative regions of Northern Ostrobothnia and Kainuu, with a combined population of about 459,000 (). Ylivieska
Ylivieska () is a town and municipality of Northern Ostrobothnia region, Finland. It has a population of (), and it serves as the administrative centre for Kalajokilaakso and Pyhäjokilaakso, an area with a population of about 90,000 inhabitants. Ylivieska is also the commercial center of the Oulu South region, the southern part of the late Oulu province. The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
