Ehrnrooth
The Ehrnrooth family is a Finland, Finnish Nobility, noble family of German origin. It originated from Pomerania, and came to Finland from Livonia around 1600. Its status descends from Johan Plagman (1623–1696), who was raised to nobility in 1687. The family was registered in the Finnish House of Nobility in 1818. Members of the Ehrnrooth family has historically belonged to the Swedish-speaking population of Finland. Many members of the family have been prominent in Finland's business community. Henrik Ehrnrooth
Henrik Göran Casimir Ehrnrooth (born 7 July 1954 in Helsinki) is a Finnish economist, manager and investor. He has been CEO and President at KONE since April 2014. Previously he served as KONE's CFO between 2009–2014. Prior to his career at KONE, he worked at Goldman Sachs from 1998–2009, most recently as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division and at UBS in various positions from 1994–1998. He studied at the University of Helsinki and the Hanken School of Economics and graduated from the latter in 1981. Adelaïde Ehrnrooth
Lovisa Adelaïde Ehrnrooth (17 January 1826 – 31 May 1905) was a Finland, Finnish feminist and writer. Adelaïde Ehrnrooth was born in Nastola, one of the 16 children of an aristocratic family.''Suomen kulttuurihistoria'', p. 59. Editor in chief Laura Kolbe. Editor in charge Tuula Kousa. Göran Albert Casimir "Casse" Ehrnrooth, titled ''Vuorineuvos'' (April 6, 1931 – July 8, 2015), was a Finnish magnate and former chairman of the Nokia Corporation. His business career began in the forest industry, and later he was a director of UPM-Kymmene and Merita-Nordbanken. The eldest son of the President of Nordic Union Bank, one of the then two biggest banks in Finland, Ehrnrooth inherited substantial holdings in important companies from both his paternal and maternal families. Adolf Ehrnrooth
Adolf Erik Ehrnrooth (9 February 1905 – 26 February 2004) was a Finnish general who served during the Winter and Continuation wars. He also competed in two equestrian events at the 1948 Summer Olympics. Early life Born in Helsinki, Ehrnrooth first went to Svenska normallyceum i Helsingfors and then entered cadet school in 1922 and served in the Uusimaa Dragoon Regiment (''Uudenmaan Rakuunarykmentti''). In 1958 he married a Danish countess Karin-Birgitte Schack who was a lady-in-waiting and a close friend of Queen Ingrid of Denmark. They had three children: Karin, Hans and Eva. Carl-Gustaf Casimir Ehrnrooth (born 5 August 1969 in Helsinki) is a Finnish investor. He has been a member of the Guggenheim Foundation's Board of Directors since September 2008. Johann Casimir Ehrnrooth
Johan Casimir Ehrnrooth (russian: Казимир Густавович Э́рнрот, Kazimir Gustavovich Ernrot; 26 November 1833 – 5 February 1913) was a Finnish statesman in the service of Imperial Russia, who also acted as Prime Minister of Bulgaria. Biography Ehrnrooth was born to an affluent noble family in the in Nastola in the Grand Duchy of Finland. In 1856, he graduated from the Imperial Military Academy in Saint Petersburg and enlisted in the Imperial Russian Army. Ehrnrooth first came to prominence when he played a leading role in suppressing the resistance of Imam Shamil and the Caucasian Avars in 1859. At the time a Major in the Russian Army, Ehrnrooth continued to rise through the ranks in campaigns against Polish rebels and fighting to remove the Ottoman Turks from Bulgaria.
