Egor Afanasyev
Egor Yurievich Afanasyev (; born 23 January 2001) is a Russian professional ice hockey winger currently playing for HC CSKA Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was selected in the second round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, 45th overall, by the Nashville Predators. Playing career Afanasyev as a Moscow native began his junior development by moving to North America and playing in Michigan with Little Caesers under-16 team in the HPHL before he was selected 156th overall in the 2017 USHL Fuutres Draft by the Muskegon Lumberjacks. In his second season with the Lumberjacks in 2018–19 season, developing as a large-framed winger that could overpower defenders, he led Muskegon with 27 goals and 35 assists for 62 points and was named to the USHL's Third All-Star team. Tver ( rus, Тверь, p=tvʲerʲ) is a city and the administrative centre of Tver Oblast, Russia. It is northwest of Moscow. Population: Tver was formerly the capital of a powerful medieval state and a model provincial town in the Russian Empire, with a population of 60,000 on 14 January 1913. It is situated at the confluence of the Volga and Tvertsa Rivers. The city was known as Kalinin ( rus, Кали́нин, Kalínin) from 1931 to 1990. 2020–21 OHL Season
The 2020–21 OHL season would have been the 41st season of the Ontario Hockey League. After the 2019–20 OHL season was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league initially planned to play a full 68-game regular season beginning in September 2020. However, due to continued public health orders and increasing cases of COVID-19 in Ontario, the league eventually shortened the planned season and postponed it indefinitely in December 2020. By April 2021, the league ultimately cancelled the season. Postponement and cancellation The regular season was originally planned to begin in September 2020 and end in March 2021 as each of the 20 teams would play 68 games, followed by 16 teams playing in the post-season. On August 5, 2020, the OHL announced that the start of the regular season was moved to December 1, 2020, and would end on April 29, 2021.
