Eglė the Queen of Serpents, alternatively Eglė the Queen of Grass Snakes ( lt, Eglė žalčių karalienė), is a Lithuanian folk tale, first published by M. Jasewicz in 1837. ''Eglė the Queen of Serpents'' is one of the best-known Lithuanian fairy tales with many references to the Baltic mythology. Over a hundred slightly diverging versions of the plot have been collected. Its mythological background has been an interest of Lithuanian and foreign researchers of Indo-European mythology; Gintaras Beresnevičius considered it being a Lithuanian theogonic myth. The tale features not only human– reptile shapeshifting, but irreversible human–tree shapeshifting as well. Numerology is also evident in the tale, such as twelve sons, three daughters, three days, three tricks, three weeks of feast, nine years under the oath of marriage, three tasks given to Eglė by her husband to fulfill and nine days of visits. The Every Ghanaian Living Everywhere (EGLE) is an inactive political party in terms of elections in Ghana. It has not contested any elections since the 2004 Ghanaian general election. According to Ghanaian law, political parties must have a presence in all districts in order to remain registered, but due to lax enforcement, EGLE remains registered as a party as of 2019. Electoral performance In the 7 December 2004 general elections, EGLE was part of the Grand Coalition which won 4 out of 230 seats. Juergen Egle is an Austrian para-alpine skier. He represented Austria in alpine skiing at four Winter Paralympics: in 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. In total he won one gold medal, three silver medals and two bronze medals. Career In 1998 he won the gold medal in one alpine skiing event: the Men's Slalom LW11. In 2002 he won two silver medals: at the Men's Slalom LW11 event and at the Men's Giant Slalom LW11 event. Madeleine Egle (born 21 August 1998) is an Austrian luger. She won bronze at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics and in 2018 another bronze medal at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang. Career Egle turned pro in 2015 at the age of 16. She debuted at the FIL World Luge Championships during the 2015 FIL World Luge Championships. A year later she won her first career medal in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. She made her Olympics debut at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. Egle won a bronze medal during the team relay event.
