Besides the village of Eggerberg, the municipality includes the settlements of Berg, Eggen, Finnen, Mühlackern and Wirmschland. History Eggerberg is first mentioned in 1307 as ''Eccun''. Geography Eggerberg has an area, , of . Of this area, 15.2% is used for agricultural purposes, while 56.4% is forested. Eggerberg Railway Station
Eggerberg is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Valais and municipality of Eggerberg. The station is located on the Lötschberg line of the BLS AG, and is adjacent to Eggerberg village. Rothrist
Rothrist is a municipality in the district of Zofingen in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. History Originally an Alamanni settlement, the modern village of Rothrist is first mentioned in 1263 as ''Routris''. The ''Herrschaft'' rights were held by the Counts of Frohburg until 1299, when they transferred to the Habsburgs. Following the conquest of the Aargau in 1415, it became part of Bern.
