Kenneth "Kenny" Egan (born 7 January 1982) is an Irish politician and boxer from Clondalkin, Dublin best known for winning a silver medal in the final of the 81 kg, Light-Heavyweight boxing final at the 2008 Olympics. He won the European Gold Medal in the 2008 Athens Olympic Qualifiers and a European Bronze Medal in 2006 and 2010 at Light-heavyweight. John Francis Egan (January 31, 1939 – July 21, 2022) was an American professional basketball player and coach. He played for the Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, Baltimore Bullets, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and San Diego / Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association from 1961 to 1972. He coached the Rockets from 1973 to 1976. Early life and playing career Egan was born on January 31, 1939, in Hartford, Connecticut. Harry Egan
Henry Egan (23 February 1912 — 1979) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Egan began his career with Sutton Town before joining Football League side Brighton & Hove Albion. Unable to establish himself in the first team, he moved on to Southend United for a brief spell. He joined Aldershot in 1937, finishing as the club's top scorer for the 1937–38 season. The following season, he played against Cardiff City where his performance prompted Cardiff manager Billy Jennings to sign him for a fee of £1,500. He scored on his debut for the club, during a 1–1 draw with Exeter City, and scored a further eight league goals before his professional career was brought to an end by the outbreak of World War II.
