Effie Triantafilopoulos
Effie J. Triantafilopoulos is a Canadian politician and lawyer who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2018 provincial election. She represents the riding of Oakville North—Burlington as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. Effie was elected as the Progressive Conservative MPP for Oakville North-Burlington in June 2018. Effie serves as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade and as a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs. Previously she served as a member of the Standing Committees on Justice Policy and Social Policy, and of the Select Committee on Emergency Management Oversight. An electoral swing analysis (or swing) shows the extent of change in voter support, typically from one election to another, expressed as a positive or negative percentage. A multi-party swing is an indicator of a change in the electorate's preference between candidates or parties, often between major parties in a two-party system.
