Estonia 200 (, russian: Эстония 200) is a Liberalism, liberal List of political parties in Estonia, political party in Estonia. It is a party that adheres to social liberalism, social and economic liberalism. History In 2017 the initiators started to discuss about the future of Estonia. The formal foundation of the movement can be considered to be 2 May 2018 when its manifesto was first published. According to an opinion poll conducted by Turu-uuringute AS in the middle of June 2018, 15% of voters were ready to vote for the movement in the next 2019 Estonian parliamentary election, parliamentary elections. On 30 May 2018, the former governor of Põlva County Igor Taro was appointed as rural areas coordinator of the movement. On 7 June, the initiators confirmed that the CEO of Eesti 200 is going to be Henrik Raave. On 8 June, the authors of the manifesto registered Estonia 200 as a nonprofit organization. Lauri Hussar
Lauri Hussar (born September 4, 1973) is an Estonian journalist. He was the editor-in-chief of ''Postimees'' 2016–2019. Since 15 October 2022 he is chairman of the party Estonia 200. Career Hussar studied theology at Tartu University from 1992 to 1996. From 1998 to 2006, he worked as a TV reporter and editor for TV3, including work as one of the hosts of ''2000 Today''. He then hosted ''Vikerraadio'', a radio program broadcast nationwide by Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR, Estonian Public Broadcasting), until the spring of 2016. In March 2016, he became deputy editor-in-chief of ''Postimees''. Three months later, he was promoted to editor-in-chief. Renew Europe (Renew) is a liberal, pro-European political group of the European Parliament founded for the ninth European Parliament term. Europe Elects is a poll aggregator that collects and publishes election-related data such as opinion polls in European countries. Genesis and history Europe Elects was founded in 2014 as a Twitter account. The project quickly rose to prominence, as it was the first account that gathered European polling and election data in one spot. Pro Patria (Estonian Political Party)
Isamaa is a Christian-democratic and national-conservative political party in Estonia. It was founded on 4 June 2006 under the name of "Pro Patria and Res Publica Union", by the merger of two conservative parties, Pro Patria Union and Res Publica Party. Up to the 2007 parliamentary elections, the party held 32 seats out of 101 in the Riigikogu and one of Estonia's six seats in the European Parliament. The party is a member of the European People's Party (EPP). The merged party consisted of two separate boards and two party leaders, which was replaced by a unified board and leader in May 2007. The party's prime minister candidate was Mart Laar, who became a chairman of the party. In 2018, its name was changed to "Isamaa", meaning literally "Fatherland".
