Eenhana (IPA: ) is the capital town of the Ohangwena Region, northern Namibia, on the border with Angola. It also used to be a mission station of the Finnish Missionary Society. Eenhana is situated in a subtropical forest. It is connected to the road network and has a well-developed infrastructure. Due to the proximity of Angola, many businesses are situated here. The town hosts an annual trade fair. The name ''Eenhana'' comes from the word ''calves'' in Oshikwanyama and is a reference to the calves that used to water at the small water pan where Eenhana is now located. Regions Of Namibia
Namibia uses regions as its first-level subnational administrative divisions. Since 2013, it has 14 regions which in turn are subdivided into 121 constituencies. Upon Namibian independence, the pre-existing subdivisions from the South African administration were taken over. Since then, demarcations and numbers of regions and constituencies of Namibia are tabled by delimitation commissions and accepted or declined by the National Assembly. In 1992, the ''1st Delimitation Commission'', chaired by Judge President Johan Strydom, proposed that Namibia should be divided into 13 regions. Pastor
A pastor (abbreviated as "Pr" or "Ptr" , or "Ps" ) is the leader of a Christian congregation who also gives advice and counsel to people from the community or congregation. New Era (Namibia)
The ''New Era'' is a daily national newspaper owned by the government of Namibia. The newspaper is one of four daily national newspapers in the country, the others being ''The Namibian'' (English and Oshiwambo), ''Die Republikein'' (Afrikaans) and '' Allgemeine Zeitung'' (German). ''New Era'' was created by the ''New Era Publications Corporation Act of 1992''. According to Ullamaija Kivikuru, it copied the format of ''The Namibian'' in order to establish credibility. ''Republikein'' () is an Afrikaans-language newspaper published daily in Namibia and the country's largest Afrikaans-language newspaper in terms of print circulation. Linda Helenius
Linda Helenius (July 5, 1894 in Pöytyä – April 18, 1960 in Helsinki) was a Finnish nurse, missionary and writer. South West Africa
South West Africa ( af, Suidwes-Afrika; german: Südwestafrika; nl, Zuidwest-Afrika) was a territory under South African administration from 1915 to 1990, after which it became modern-day Namibia. Engela
Engela is an Ovambo people, Ovambo settlement in the Ohangwena Region in northern Namibia. Formerly situated in the Oukwanyama area it is since 2004 part of the town Helao Nafidi, although it still maintained its own village council until the Namibian local and regional elections, 2015, 2015 local authority election. It is one of the more important establishments of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia (ELCIN) in the area. It started as a Mission (station), mission station of the Finnish Missionary Society. Oukwanyama (''Uukwanyama'' in the neighbouring Oshindonga dialect) is a traditional kingdom of the Ovambo people in what is today northern Namibia and southern Angola. Its capital is Ehole. Edundja
Edundja is a settlement in the Ohangwena Region of northern Namibia. It is situated close to the Angolan border east of Oshikango. Effects of flood It is closer to Angola and this cause the flood during the rainy season as the water flows from the rivers in Angola and it brings some positive and negative effects to the villagers. People can benefit as they catch barble fish and sell them to get something to help them to meet their daily needs. It has some impacts on them as it will destruct their daily activities, it will be hard for the people to get to the clinic and go to other places such as Oshikango.School kids won’t be able to go to school and their cross the water during cold mornings which leads to them to drop out of school. Infrastructure The village has reasonably well-developed infrastructure with access to potable water and electricity, although the access roads are not tarred.
