Edwin C. Stewart
Edwin C. Stewart (March 8, 1864 in Newfield, New York, Newfield, Tompkins County, New York – June 15, 1921) was an American politician from New York (state), New York. Life He was the son of David B. Stewart (1832–1915), the first Mayor of Ithaca. He attended the public schools in Ithaca, and then became a partner in his father's wholesale grocery business. Stewart was a member of the New York State Assembly (Tompkins Co.) in 117th New York State Legislature, 1894 and 118th New York State Legislature, 1895. He was a member of the New York State Senate (40th D.) from 1896 to 1898, and from 1901 to 1904; sitting in the 119th New York State Legislature, 119th, 120th New York State Legislature, 120th, 121st New York State Legislature, 121st, 124th New York State Legislature, 124th, 125th New York State Legislature, 125th, 126th New York State Legislature, 126th and 127th New York State Legislatures. Stewart Park (Ithaca, New York)
Stewart Park is a municipal park operated by the city of Ithaca, New York on the southern end of Cayuga Lake, the largest of New York's Finger Lakes. Park description Stewart park offers space and facilities for outdoor recreation such as frisbee, tennis, basketball, paddling and fishing. The park has a carousel that operates throughout the summer. There is an expansive accessible playground that includes features to make it easier for children with wheelchairs or mobility aids to play, along with a splash pad fountain that runs in summer. Picnic tables and grills are spread throughout the park, and sheltered areas for picnics and large gatherings are available for rental.
