Edwig Cammaerts
Edwig Cammaerts (born 17 July 1987) is a Belgian former road bicycle racer, who competed professionally between 2011 and 2016 for the , , and squads. Career Born in Namur, Cammaerts joined the team in 2011 after two seasons with Lotto-Bodysol. During his one season with the team, Cammaerts was disqualified from Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne, after riding through red lights at a level-crossing. Cammaerts joined for the 2012 season. After no notable results with the team in 2012, Cammaerts took the first victory of his professional career in March 2013, when he won the 1.1-rated Classic Loire Atlantique race, the second round of the French Road Cycling Cup. Cammaerts attacked the peloton just over a kilometre from the finish, and soloed away to a seven-second margin of victory over the field in La Haie-Fouassière, led home by 's Yauheni Hutarovich. Yauheni Hutarovich (born 29 November 1983) is a Belarusian former road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2007 and 2016 for the , , and teams. He currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career In the 2009 Tour de France, Hutarovich was the lanterne rouge, or the last placed overall rider in the general classification (GC). On stage 2 of the 2010 Vuelta a España, Hutarovich surprised everyone as he jumped from the wheel of Mark Cavendish to claim his first Grand Tour stage win, besting other top sprinters such as Tyler Farrar and Alessandro Petacchi. Hutarovich left at the end of the 2012 season, and joined on a two-year contract from the 2013 season onwards. In September 2014 announced that they had signed Hutarovich on a one-year deal for 2015. The Brussels Cycling Classic (known until June 2013 as Paris–Brussels) is a semi classic European bicycle race, one of the oldest races on the international calendar. History Paris–Brussels was first run on 12 August 1893 as an amateur event over a distance of 397 km, Belgian Andre Henry took the inaugural victory from compatriot Charles Delbecque with France's Fernand Augenault coming in third. The race did not return to the racing calendar until 1906 when it was run as a two-day event on 3 and 4 June. The first stage of this 1906 event was run from the Paris suburb of Villiers-sur-Marne to Reims over 152 km and was won by France's Maurice Bardonneau.
