Edward Chester Glover (March 1, 1885 – October 31, 1940) was an American athlete who competed mainly in the pole vault. Edward Glover (psychoanalyst)
Edward George Glover (13 January 1888 – 16 August 1972) was a British psychoanalyst. He first studied medicine and surgery, and it was his elder brother, James Glover (1882–1926) who attracted him towards psychoanalysis. Both brothers were analysed in Berlin by Karl Abraham; indeed, the "list of Karl Abraham's analysands reads like a roster of psychoanalytic eminence: the leading English analysts Edward and James Glover" at the top. He then settled down in London where he became an influential member of the British Psycho-Analytical Society in 1921. He was also close to Ernest Jones. Edward Auchmuty Glover ( – 17 March 1862) was an Irish Independent Conservative politician and barrister. The eldest son of James Glover and Ellen Power, Glover was a practising barrister and a Justice of the Peace. Although he contested the 1852 general election as an Independent Conservative, Glover was only elected an Independent Conservative MP for Beverley at the 1857 general election. His political views were, however, more complex, as between the two elections he had contested at several places, "professing any political creed that might happen to favour his success". Indeed, while he contested Canterbury as a Radical at a by-election in 1854, when he contested Beverley again in 1857, he stood as a Conservative despite losing the support of the local party. Lee Glover
Edward Lee Glover (born 24 April 1970) is an English-born Scottish professional football manager and former player who is the manager of club Kettering Town. A forward, he started his career with Nottingham Forest in 1987. He spent seven years at the club, and also spent time on loan at Leicester City, Barnsley, and Luton Town. He moved on to Port Vale in 1994. Two years later he signed with Rotherham United, and stayed with the Millers until 2000. He then played for Macclesfield Town and Mansfield Town, before moving into non-league football with Burton Albion and Corby Town. He travelled to Wembley for the 1991 FA Cup and 1996 Anglo-Italian Cup finals, and was also an unused substitute at the 1989 and 1992 Football League Cup Final and the 1992 Full Members' Cup Final.
