Edward Clark (actor)
Edward Clark (May 6, 1878 – November 18, 1954) was a Russian-born American actor whose career began in the silent era. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1913 and 1955. He was also a playwright, theatre director and songwriter. Among his songs was the original 1899 barbershop quartet song ''Heart of My Heart''. He was born in Russia and died in Hollywood, California from a heart attack. ''Jungle Woman'' is a 1944 American horror film directed by Reginald LeBorg. The film stars Evelyn Ankers, J. Carrol Naish, Samuel S. Hinds, Lois Collier, Milburn Stone, and Douglass Dumbrille. The film involves Dr. Carl Fletcher who is in court on the murder of Paula Dupree, who he explains has the ability to turn into an Ape Woman. ''Jungle Woman'' was the second film in Universal's "Cheela, the Ape Woman" series, preceded by ''Captive Wild Woman''. ''Hello, Frisco, Hello'' is a 1943 American musical film directed by H. Bruce Humberstone and starring Alice Faye, John Payne, Lynn Bari, and Jack Oakie. The film was made in Technicolor and released by 20th Century-Fox. This was one of the last musicals made by Faye for Fox, and in later interviews Faye said it was clear Fox was promoting Betty Grable as her successor.
