Edward Buttrey
Francis "Ed" Edward Buttrey (born December 14, 1965) is a Republican member of the Montana Legislature. He served in the Montana Senate from 2011 to 2019 and then served in the Montana House of Representatives. He was elected to Senate District 13, representing Great Falls, Montana, in 2011. Legislative history Buttrey served as Majority Whip in the Senate during the 2015-2016 session. Buttrey has garnered a mixed reputation in regards to policy during his tenure in both Montana legislative bodies. Though Buttrey was lauded by centrist Republicans and Democrats alike for working on Medicaid expansion in Montana, he was criticized by the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities for his legislation which the Center said "would likely cause coverage losses similar to or even higher than those of Arkansas, the first state with a Medicaid work requirement. Tom Jacobson
Tom Jacobson (born February 1, 1967) is an American politician. A Democrat, he represents District 11 in the Montana State Senate. Political career In 2012, Jacobson ran for election to represent District 25 in the Montana House of Representatives, and defeated Republican incumbent Cleve Loney with 50.7% of the vote. After redistricting, Jacobson ran for, and won, election to represent District 21 in 2014. In 2016, he ran for re-election to the District 21 seat and was unopposed in both the Democratic primary and the general election. In 2018, the incumbent State Senator for the 11th district, Republican Edward Buttrey, was unable to run for re-election due to term limits. Montana State University (MSU) is a public land-grant research university in Bozeman, Montana. It is the state's largest university. MSU offers baccalaureate degrees in 60 fields, master's degrees in 68 fields, and doctoral degrees in 35 fields through its nine colleges. NBC Montana
NBC Montana is a regional network of three television stations in western Montana, United States, affiliated with NBC and owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group. Cities served include Missoula, Kalispell, Butte, and Bozeman. Most station operations, including news production, are based at the Missoula studios of KECI-TV (channel 13); the other main stations are KCFW-TV (channel 9) in Kalispell, KTVM-TV (channel 6) in Butte, and KDBZ-CD (channel 6) in Bozeman. Gregory Richard Gianforte (born April 17, 1961) is an American businessman, politician, software engineer, and writer serving as the 25th governor of Montana since 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Gianforte served as the U.S. representative for Montana's at-large congressional district from 2017 to 2021.
