GĂĽnther Edward Arnold Schneider (February 18, 1890 – April 26, 1956) was an American actor of the stage and screen. Early life Arnold was born on February 18, 1890, in Lower East Side of New York City, the son of German immigrants Elizabeth (Ohse) and Carl Schneider. His schooling came at the East Side Settlement House. Acting career Stage Arnold was interested in acting ever since he appeared on stage as Lorenzo in The Merchant of Venice at age 12. He made his professional stage debut in 1907 and had important roles in several plays on Broadway in the 1920s and 1930s. Among them is the 1927 revival of ''The Jazz Singer'', with Arnold as the second lead to the star, George Jessel. Film He found work as an extra for Essanay Studios and World Studios, before landing his first significant role in 1916's '' The Misleading Lady''. Richard Edward Arnold (May 15, 1918 – May 8, 2008) was an American country music singer who performed for six decades. He was a Nashville sound (country/popular music) innovator of the late 1950s, and scored 147 songs on the ''Billboard'' country music charts, second only to George Jones. He sold more than 85 million records. A member of the Grand Ole Opry (beginning 1943) and the Country Music Hall of Fame (beginning 1966), Arnold ranked 22nd on Country Music Television's 2003 list of "The 40 Greatest Men of Country Music." Early years Arnold was born on May 15, 1918, on a farm near Henderson, Tennessee. His father, a sharecropper, played the fiddle, while his mother played guitar. It was acquired by Hodder & Stoughton in 1987 and became part of the Hodder Education group in 2001. In 2006, Hodder Arnold sold its academic journals to SAGE Publications. In 2012, Hodder Education sold its medical and higher education lines, including Arnold, to Taylor & Francis. Edward Arnold published books and journals for students, academics and professionals. Eduardo Ariel Arnold (born 14 October 1947) is an Argentine politician. He has been vice governor of the Santa Cruz Province under NĂ©stor Kirchner, and a national senator and deputy. Biography Eduardo Ariel Arnold was born in 1947 in Las Heras, Santa Cruz. Leading the "Movimiento Renovador Peronista", he allied with NĂ©stor Kirchner in 1991 as vice-governor candidate. Kirchner became governor, defeating Arturo Puricelli. Arnold was selected to work in the 1994 amendment of the Argentine Constitution, and was elected vice governor under Kirchner again in 1995. Arnold was elected national senator for the 1999-2001 period. He was a national controller in RĂo Turbio in 2002. After Kirchner became president of Argentina in 2003, Arnold desired to be the candidate for governor of the Santa Cruz province, but Kirchner selected Sergio Acevedo instead.
