Edvan Correia Edson do Nascimento (born 14 April 1979) is a Brazilian former football player who played as a midfielder. Career In 2008 Edvan was under contract with Romanian club Universitatea Cluj Fotbal Club Universitatea Cluj (), commonly known as Universitatea Cluj or simply as U Cluj, is a Romanian professional association football, football club based in the city of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, that competes in the Liga I, the first ..., for which he played 8 matches in Liga I and three in Liga II. In 2009 he played three games for Hungarian club Tököl VSK in the Nemzeti Bajnokság II, after which he returned to Romania at Silvania Șimleu Silvaniei, where he played 10 matches and scored one goal in Liga II. Edvan previously played for Santa Cruz in the Copa do Brasil. NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams. In 2013 the format was changed and there is one division again with 16 teams, and then 20 teams from 2015. The champion and the runner-up will ascend to the first division while the two lowest teams in NB II are relegated to NB III.
