Education In Vietnam
Education in Vietnam is a state-run system of public and private education run by the Ministry of Education and Training. It is divided into five levels: preschool, primary school, secondary school, high school, and higher education. Formal education consists of twelve years of basic education. Basic education consists of five years of primary education, four years of secondary education, and three years of high school education. The majority of basic education students are enrolled on a daily basis. The main education goal in Vietnam is "improving people's general knowledge, training quality human resources, and nurturing and fostering talent." Vietnam has undergone major political upheaval and social inequality throughout its recent history and is attempting to modernise. Ministry Of Education And Training (Vietnam)
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET, vi, Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo) is the government ministry responsible for the governance of general/academic education and higher education (training) in Vietnam. Vocational Education is controlled by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MoLISA). Ministry offices are located in central Ha Noi, on Co Dai Viet street. In the Vietnamese system, MoET is responsible for the 'professional' performance and regulation of educational institutions under it, but not for ownership or finance, except for the major public universities (VNU, Vietnam National University, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, fall directly under the Prime Minister's office, not MoET). Second grade (also called grade two, corresponding to Year 3 in the United Kingdom) is a year of primary education in Canada and the United States. Second grade is the second year of primary school. Tertiary education, also referred to as third-level, third-stage or post-secondary education, is the educational level following the completion of secondary education. Twelfth Grade

High School
